CROCS: WHERE COOL CAME FROM | CREATIVE STRATEGY


Crocs (and Crocs & Socks) have grown to become one of the hottest fashion phenomenons in culture. From brand partnerships with Space Jam to collabs with Post Malone, Justin Bieber, and Salehe Bembury, Crocs have grown to become a mainstream staple in footwear. When the brand decided to launch the official Crocs Socks, we looked back at the OGs who kicked off the Crocs and Socks trend before it was a trend...You know, back when wearing Crocs wasn’t cool.

This one’s for the dads, the nurses, the store clerks, the dog walkers, and the trailblazers who set the tone and showed the influencers where cool came from.

We knew social was where we’d be able to launch the socks in a way that was native to the brand as well as the audience we were trying to reach. With a GenZ x Older Generation crossover, we wanted to celebrate both eras of Crocs wearers in the perfect, everyday fashion.

“Launching Crocs Socks” is probably the most ridiculous sentence I will ever tell my mom about my job.
